We are seeking a motivated and dependable Light Duty Tow Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate light-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring minimal damage during transit.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach.
- Use automotive repair knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues or communicate effectively with repair shops when necessary.
- Manage customer interactions professionally, providing clear communication and conflict management when needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including vehicle details, locations, and times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during operations.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds or light-duty models.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive diagnostics.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using manual or powered equipment such as forklifts if required.
- Prior experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflicts professionally.
- Knowledge of manual transmissions and basic automotive systems is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to vehicle recovery.
