We’re looking for a System Safety Engineer P2 who enjoys working on complex, high-impact systems and collaborating across engineering teams.
This role supports advanced defense and aerospace systems, focusing on mission-critical technologies used in real-world operational environments.
In this role, you’ll contribute across the full system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, testing, and production support.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system solutions
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities
- Work with models, simulations, prototypes, and hardware/software systems
- Identify risks and support technical decision-making
- Help improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
Additional Job Details: Qualifications You Must Have: - Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position. - Experience with Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering. - Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required . US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: - Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882 / DO-178 - Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment - Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472. - Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development - Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups
