The Stress Analyst will:

The Stress Analyst will:
- Work at the facilities and provide detailed weekly reports to section management and NASA/ES2 customer
- Create Finite Element Analysis models using FEMAP or Simcenter and use NASTRAN for model solution
- Post process results and generate structural margins of safety based on NASA standards and hardware requirements
- Perform hand calculations to generate structural margins of safety when applicable
- Perfrom damage tolerance analysis using crack growth propagation software NASGRO
- Generate detailed Structural Analysis Reports
Requisition Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Knowledgeable using FEMAP or Simcenter and NASTRAN
- Have a good foundation for Mechanics of Materials to be able to perform hand calculations for structural margins of safety
- Knowledgeable of the crack growth propagation software NASGRO
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
- Prior NASA flight hardware experience
