What are the responsibilities and job description for the Avenue Shabu looking for Hostess position at Avenue Shabu?
The Cashier is one of the most important roles and requires a great deal of trust. This position is
also a great opportunity to prepare your team members to be servers. A well-trained Cashier
will make for a better performing Server. To that end they will support the servers by processing
payments, taking phone orders, assisting with beverage and food running. One of their most
important functions is to manage the takeout orders. They will be responsible for inputting the
orders, packing them and handing them to the customer/driver. Just because our customers
aren’t dining in the restaurant doesn’t mean their experience should be any less stellar.
While you will be backing up the servers our focus is still the same; to ensure each of our guests
have a wonderful dining experience at Avenue Shabu in this position, timing, being attentive
and anticipating guests’ needs are keys to success. Don’t forget your most effective tool, your
smile! A big smile goes a long way in effecting our customers’ dining experience, resolving
issues and driving sales (tips too!). The ideal candidate will be hard working, reliable, engaging
and able to work as a team with a strong sense of urgency. At times this position can be
stressful. Keeping a cool head and positive attitude will ensure that our guests all have the
same wonderful experience regardless of how busy the restaurant is.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Set up Station and (re)stock all necessary supplies and ingredients needed for service Greet guests and say goodbye on the way out.
- Letting guests know how our menu works & our 100 minute time limit.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner that contributes to a positive dining experience
Be knowledgeable about menu, ingredients, allergens and anything else relating to
ordering
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately, repeating orders back to guests in a timely manner. Make suggestions and upsell whenever possible
- Manage Take Out station making sure orders are taken accurately and packed correctly
Check in throughout dining experience and anticipate guests’ needs
- Process payments/Handle cash
- Complete Side Work
- Maintain a positive and professional approach
