What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Night Auditor position at Avenue of the Arts Hotel Costa Mesa?
The Night Auditor of the hotel is the Manager On Duty overnight (12:30AM-6:30AM or 11:00PM-7:00AM). The Night Auditor's responsibilities/requirements include but are not limited to:
- Relocation of guests
- Handling guest issues
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
- Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights
- Answer phone calls during the shift.
- Register guests and receive payments
- Update the status of guests
- Manage selling strategy nightly to follow revenue maximization strategy.
- Ensure the accuracy of the accounts and transactions made with the customers
- Create daily management reports, this help to maintain a regular track of the business.
- Other than the accounting function, Night Auditors are asked to maintain front desk. These include looking after check-in, check-out, responding to customers’ needs, attending their queries, housekeeping requests and reservations etc.
- Data Entry
- Must stay at the front desk for the entirety of their working shift (minus breaks) and to print necessary reports
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to type, standing upright for entire shift.
- Light work- Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Must arrive to work well groomed, with pristine hygiene, and professional attire
