What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Product Designer position at Avenue Code?
About The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-driven designer with strong interaction and visual design skills who has experience designing and delivering 0-1 product experiences in a fast paced environment.
We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to drive the evolution of the dWallet® platform and Data Savings products — complex, first-of-their-kind experiences that must balance innovative financial concepts with intuitive interfaces for both consumers and businesses.
The platform addresses crucial challenges in the data economy, including data sovereignty, fragmentation, custody, and valuation Grit Daily — and you'll be at the center of making those concepts feel simple, trustworthy, and compelling for everyday users.
This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a pioneering product that is redefining the relationship between people and their data.
This role requires being in the office in Mountain View three times a week.
Responsibilities
- Own the design process end-to-end for dWallet® (B2C and B2B) and Data Savings Account features — from discovery and research through to dev handoff.
- Lead user research, usability testing, and heuristic analysis to ground every design decision in evidence.
- Translate complex concepts around data ownership, monetization, and privacy into clear, accessible experiences for non-technical users.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align design vision with execution.
- Contribute to and maintain the platform's Design System, ensuring consistency across web and mobile (iOS/Android).
- Rapidly iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and user flows based on metrics, testing, and stakeholder feedback.
- Support the creation of marketing and web assets aligned with DrumWave's brand and positioning.
Required Qualifications
- You're good natured, humble and highly collaborative – you believe that curiosity, craft, passion for excellence and building meaningful relationships are key to your success.
- Solid experience in Product Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work.
- Strong command of Figma for design, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for mainstream users.
- Hands-on experience conducting discovery and validation (user interviews, A/B testing, behavioral analysis).
- Experience building and maintaining Design Systems in close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently in early-stage, high-ambiguity environments.
- You are able to wear the many hats required at a startup: designer, researcher, prototyper.
- You love working on complex systems, but more importantly, you love simplifying them.
- You have a wide range of tools you use to help your team understand the user experience, such as customer journey mapping and flow diagrams.
- You understand what fidelity to work at when, from low fidelity prototypes, to developer ready screen flows, to well crafted micro interactions
Nice To Have Skills
- Experience with Webflow or Framer for institutional and marketing website design.
- Background in AI, privacy tech, or data economy products.
- Experience designing native mobile apps (iOS and Android).
- Previous work on products in product-market fit stage.
