Lead Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, and possess the ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen setting. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes while adhering to food safety and handling standards.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and taste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
• Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours.
• Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety in the kitchen.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or dietary department.
• Must be legal to work in the U.S.A.
• knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and knife skills is essential.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
