Parts Manager
$70-75k/year DOE, plus potential bonus.
We are partnering with an established company to hire an experienced Parts Manager in the Des Moines metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the parts department and personnel
- Work with the management team to ensure success in meeting deadlines and goals.
- Proactively investigate emerging products and retain current selection.
- Understand and oversee inventory controls
- Boost sales and maximize profits through effective merchandising.
- Drive the department by forecasting and hitting key objectives
- Leverage financial statement analysis to optimize department operations
- Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the company’s guidelines
- Employee selection, onboarding and training process.
- Support, mentor and assess the performance of personnel and conduct performance evaluations.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts management
- Understanding of financial management
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Interact positively with managers, employees, customers, and the public.
- Valid Driver's License & Insurability: Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurance requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
