Quality Assurance Technician Position
Monday- Sunday 6am- 6pm & 6pm - 6am (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off)
$21/ hr $1 shift differentail
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory testing, ensuring product quality, and supporting compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate data reporting and upholding food safety and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret laboratory tests, including necessary calculations, to ensure accurate and timely data reporting
- Package and prepare samples for shipment to third-party testing facilities
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Respond to technical product-related questions as needed
- Complete clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and record verification
- Perform environmental and product testing and communicate results to plant and corporate teams
- Review and analyze quality documents, including GMP manuals and HACCP programs
- Issue Out-of-Specification (OOS) notifications and assist in investigations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous laboratory experience preferred, ideally in a food-grade manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures
- Proficiency with computer systems and software applications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
