Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with local hospitals in Scranton and surrounding areas.
Conduct regular in-person visits to hospital case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and physician offices.
Educate referral sources on facility services, specialty programs, and admissions processes.
Identify and pursue new referral opportunities within the community.
Represent the facility at networking events, healthcare meetings, and community functions.
Track referral trends, maintain CRM records, and provide weekly marketing reports.
Collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral-to-admission transitions.
Support community engagement initiatives and reputation-building efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of marketing or business development experience in healthcare, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or home health.
Strong, established relationships within Scranton-area hospitals and surrounding healthcare networks.
Proven ability to increase census and generate consistent referral growth.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care processes preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Experience
Direct experience working with discharge planners and hospital case management teams.
Familiarity with the local healthcare market in Scranton and nearby communities.
Experience using CRM or referral tracking systems.
