Aventine Properties LLC is seeking a highly organized and dependable professional to support both our financial operations and administrative workflow. This is a key role within the company, with direct exposure to ownership and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on QuickBooks user who is comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions while also helping to improve organization, consistency, and internal processes.
Key responsibilities:
Financial & bookkeeping
- Manage accounts receivable and track collections within QuickBooks
- Assist preparing, issuing, and monitoring client billing
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and assist with reporting
- Process payroll using Gusto
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash activity
- Coordinate with outside accountant / CPA
- Assist in developing and improving financial processes and reporting systems
Administrative & operational support
- Maintain organized client/case records as needed
- Support internal workflow and office organization
- Assist with document preparation and file management
- Provide general administrative support to leadership
Qualifications
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Hands-on QuickBooks experience — required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with Gusto or similar payroll platforms preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Interest in growing into a broader financial management role is a plus
