Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and legally compliant Licensed Responsible Funeral Director (RFD) to supervise the daily operations of our funeral establishment. Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes (§ 32-1382), the RFD serves as the designated authority ensuring the entire facility, staff, and case management strictly comply with all state laws and the regulations set by the Arizona Department of Health Services (or applicable regulatory board). The ideal candidate balances meticulous administrative governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Serve as the designated Responsible Funeral Director for the state of Arizona, assuming ultimate accountability for the establishment's legal and ethical compliance.
- Legal Documentation: Direct the accurate completion and filing of all vital statistics, death certificates, permits, and state authorizations within mandated legal timeframes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a valid, unencumbered Funeral Director License in the State of Arizona (or be immediately eligible for reciprocity).
- Education: Graduate of an ABFSE-accredited Mortuary Science program.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of active experience as a licensed funeral director.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Arizona Title 32, Chapter 12 laws governing funeral service, FTC Funeral Rule regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, administrative acumen, conflict resolution, and the ability to work an adaptable schedule.
Pay: From $24,000.00 per year
