Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and powertrain servicing, ensuring vehicles operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain automotive suspension systems, shocks & struts, brakes, tires, and wheel alignments to enhance vehicle safety and ride quality.
- Service transmissions and perform oil changes, fluid replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks to extend vehicle lifespan.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs on mechanical systems with precision.
- Diagnose complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to ensure modern vehicle features function correctly.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, auto body repair basics, auto estimating software, and heavy equipment mechanics is preferred.
- Hands-on experience repairing GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of diesel mechanics, auto electrical systems, auto body work, and heavy equipment mechanics will set candidates apart.
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.
