Ave Pack & Ship is a locally owned shipping and business center serving the Ave Maria community. We offer UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL shipping, professional packing, mailbox rentals, passport photos, notary services, printing, copying, shredding, laminating, key duplication, and more.
We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused team member who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing exceptional service.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pack & Ship Associate who can confidently assist customers with shipping, packing, and business services. Experience working in a retail shipping store is strongly preferred, and experience using PostalMate is highly desirable to help minimize training time.
Responsibilities
- Professionally pack and ship customer items
- Process UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL shipments
- Operate PostalMate software (preferred)
- Assist customers with Amazon, QR code, and prepaid package returns
- Rent and manage private mailboxes
- Answer phones and assist walk-in customers
- Process payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer
- Print, copy, scan, fax, laminate, and provide other business services
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well stocked
- Deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a pack-and-ship store strongly preferred
- Experience with PostalMate is highly preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

Additional Requirements
- Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- A one-day paid working interview is required as part of the hiring process to determine if the position is a good fit for both you and Ave Pack & Ship.
- All new hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period.
- If you are not currently a Florida Notary Public, you must be willing to obtain your notary commission within 90 days of employment. We will provide guidance through the process.
