ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS
Ave Maria University seeks an Assistant Professor of Economics in Ave Maria, Florida, responsible for teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses in Economics, including principles, intermediate, and statistics, in accordance with the University’s Catholic mission as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae. Specific job duties include: (i) consulting, advising, guiding, and mentoring students, including by maintaining reasonable office hours for academic counseling with students; (ii) assisting in developing and implementing new programs of study, as well as reviewing and strengthening existing curriculum offerings for the Department; (iii) carrying out academic and scholarly programs in support of the general mission of the University; and (iv) participating in department development programs, student recruitment, open house activities, student orientation programs, faculty retreats, and similar University-wide functions.
Must possess a Ph.D. in Economics. Must be able and willing to teach a range of undergraduate courses in Economics.
