Job Summary
Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud /DevOps to lead large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives across AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code environments. The ideal candidate will architect secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions; drive DevOps and GitOps adoption; design reusable IaC patterns; and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, CI/CD, and enterprise cloud migration strategies, along with the ability to present complex architectures to executive stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualifications
The candidate must have:
1. 10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture / DevOps / Cloud Engineering supporting large-scale, multi-program or multi-department environments.
2. 10 years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing AWS cloud solutions, including multi-account AWS Organizations environments.
3. 10 years of experience with Kubernetes/EKS cluster architecture, deployments, scaling, and operations.
4. 10 years of expert-level experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
5. 10 years of experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud application migrations, including networking, security, storage, compute, backup, and disaster recovery.
6. 10 years of experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Flux).
7. 10 years of experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
8. 10 years of experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
9. Strong experience presenting architecture designs, diagrams, strategies, and reports to executive and technical leadership.
10. Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (or equivalent experience-year-for-year substitution allowed).
11. Mandatory Certification:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (required)
Desirable Qualifications (DQ)
1. 15 years leading enterprise-wide cloud modernization or transformation programs.
2. 15 years designing AWS Well-Architected architectures, plus experience conducting AWS Well-Architected Reviews and implementing optimization recommendations.
3. Experience designing reusable enterprise IaC modules, blueprints, or architecture patterns (Terraform modules, CFN nested stacks, CDK constructs).
4. Experience implementing enterprise API Gateway architectures, including lifecycle governance, versioning, and API onboarding frameworks.
5. Experience building advanced automation workflows, serverless functions, monitoring integrations, and custom infrastructure utilities using SDK/API scripting.
6. Strong business architecture understanding with experience aligning IT systems to enterprise-level business processes.
7. Preferred Certifications:
o AWS Certified Security Specialty
o AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
