Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

Client seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud / DevOps / Security Architect to support large-scale modernization, cloud transformation, DevOps automation, and enterprise security initiatives. This role merges responsibilities across Enterprise Architecture, DevOps Engineering, and Security Engineering, requiring deep AWS expertise, strong Kubernetes/EKS experience, Infrastructure-as-Code mastery, and leadership across complex multi-account cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record designing enterprise cloud architectures, building automated infrastructure pipelines, and implementing security and governance standards across mission-critical systems.

Candidates must meet all of the following:

1. Ten (10) years of experience in large-scale IT environments delivering complex cloud, infrastructure, security, or DevOps solutions.
2. Seven (10) or more years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud architectures, including multi-account AWS Organizations.
3. Ten (10) years of experience with Kubernetes/EKS, including cluster deployment, management, and security.
4. Ten (10) years of expert-level experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
5. Ten (10) years of experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
6. Ten (10) years of experience designing/supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines and/or GitOps methodologies.
7. Ten (10) years of experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic.
8. Experience delivering high-quality architectural documents, diagrams, reports, and executive-level presentations.
9. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (Required)
10. Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience.

1. Fifteen (15) years of experience leading enterprise-wide modernization or transformation initiatives.
2. Extensive experience conducting AWS Well-Architected Reviews and implementing optimization/remediation work.
3. Fifteen (15) years aligning IT architectures with business processes, with 5 10 years in a leadership capacity.
4. Experience designing reusable IaC modules, patterns, or blueprints for VPC, EKS, IAM, API Gateway, and security components.
5. Experience implementing enterprise API lifecycle management, standards, governance, and developer enablement.
6. Experience leading high-severity security incidents, developing runbooks, containment strategies, and post-incident reports.
7. Expertise in creating SIEM correlation rules, dashboards, and detection logic to reduce false positives.
8. Strong background working with compliance frameworks (NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
9. Experience building serverless automation, custom tooling, or workflow orchestration using APIs/SDKs.
10. Hands-on experience in Kubernetes and container security best practices.

AWS Certified Security Specialty
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
CISSP, GIAC, or other advanced security certifications.
