About the Role:
The Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment within an organization. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets. The Maintenance Coordinator acts as a liaison between maintenance teams, vendors, and management to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and preventive maintenance. By effectively managing resources and maintenance workflows, this role contributes to a safe and efficient working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Coordinator ensures that all maintenance operations align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control in maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental health and safety standards.
- Project management certification or experience.
- Ability to analyze technical manuals and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
