Role Description The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Ashland, VA. This role oversees daily operations of the nursing facility, ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Avardis Health standards. Responsibilities include managing staff performance, coordinating clinical and support services, and maintaining a safe, person-centered environment. The Administrator monitors budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation, while building strong relationships with residents, families, and external partners. The role also involves leading quality improvement initiatives, supporting training and development, and representing the facility in audits and community outreach.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Nursing Home Administration and Long-term Care operations.
- Experience in Elder Care with a focus on person-centered, compassionate service.
- Strong Budgeting skills, including financial planning, cost control, and resource management.
- Ability to design and deliver effective Training for interdisciplinary teams.
- Active Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain).
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
- Proven leadership, staff management, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in post-acute or skilled nursing settings strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; advanced degree is an asset.
