The Activities Assistant supports our Community Life programming by helping create engaging, resident-centered experiences that promote social connection and well-being. In this role, you will assist with resident activity assessments and activity profiles, help plan and schedule events (games, crafts, parties, movie showings), and encourage participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs. You will also partner with the Community Life Director to expand offerings, introduce fresh ideas, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen the resident experience.Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience providing recreational services in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Valid, current, unencumbered state driver’s license
- Compassionate, dependable, and service-focused

How Your Day Flows
Your weekday schedule runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm in our Meridian, MS center. You’ll start by checking the day’s calendar, confirming room setups and supplies, and coordinating timing with nursing and therapy so residents can comfortably attend. Throughout the day, you’ll greet residents and families, guide small-group and one-on-one moments, and adapt plans based on energy levels and preferences. You’ll capture notes and feedback after activities, help reset spaces, and close out the day by preparing materials and reminders for tomorrow’s program.Your Benefits
