Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently.
- Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment strategies.
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records, documentation, and sensitive information.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy techniques, medical terminology, patient care protocols, and behavioral health best practices.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and data collection methods is essential.
- Experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
- Familiarity with standards such as HIPAA and Mandated Reporting is advantageous.
- Strong patience, empathy, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are vital for success.
