Avanti Restaurant Solutions, a successful, privately held, $100M company, is hiring A Lead Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installer. Duties and responsibilities performed by the Lead Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installer are intended to support Avanti Restaurant Solutions installation efforts for regional projects, both chain and contract. Please apply if you have the following skills:

• Current working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (i.e. hoods, ice machines, dish machines, steamers, ranges, convection ovens, etc.)
• Ability to use construction hand tools
• Ability to lead a team of 2-3 people
• Ability to read architectural and food service plans to install a project from start to finish
• Commitment to Safety (existing OSHA 10 or greater certification preferred, or must have ability to achieve upon hiring)
• Commitment to cleanliness and organization on project sites
• Excellent communications skills to interact with team members, and clients
• Team-First attitude a must
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Ability to multi-task
• Advanced mechanical skills
• Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent customer service attitude
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and O/M manuals
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems related to commercial kitchen equipment preferred
• Ability to weld and polish metal not required but is preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to accurately and consistently track expenses

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks and safely move equipment to limit damage
• Set commercial kitchen equipment in place for connection(s) to be made by contractor
• Assembly/ Construction
  1. Assembly and interconnections to dish machines and components
  2. Walk-in cooler/freezer erection
  3. Hanging exhaust and condensation hoods, and install curbs and fans.
  4. Hanging/securing of shelving, racking, and other wall or ceiling products (i.e., pot racks, fry cutters, etc.)
     1. Assembly and installation of large deck-style ovens and roll-in refrigeration units

• Read work orders and kitchen plans, as required for installation 

Required Qualifications:

• Current driver’s license with clean driving record
• Flexible in schedule to enable the company to meet customer needs – overtime and weekends may be necessary and required
• Ability to travel during the week (based in Southern California but with potential installation projects nationwide)
• 1 years construction experience, preferred

This is a full-time non-exempt position. 

Salary: $24.00 - $42.00 per hour (DOE)
