The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for efficiently maintaining the physical appearance of the apartment community’s grounds, pools, and buildings.
What You’ll Do…
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas.
- Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe and unclean conditions.
- Maintain pool, pool areas, and pool furniture.
- Water plants and grass as required.
- Manage snow removal (CO, KS, MO, UT) and Hurricane preparation and cleanup in FL.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills and maintains clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members
What You Need to Succeed…
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 years of property maintenance experience preferred.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Communicate clearly to residents and respond to resident’s service requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
- Can use power and hand tools effectively and safely when completing maintenance tasks.
- Must have time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, be accountable for actions, self-motivated.
- Possible travel to other properties owned by Avanti Residential to help sister communities.
- Frequent contact with residents of all backgrounds.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
- If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
