What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Services Coordinator position at Avanti Resident Services, Inc.?
We are looking for a resident services coordinator to spearhead our Avanti Resident Services program. You will be responsible for hosting and administering youth development after-school programs such as scholastic tutoring, STEM focused events and social fun such as story time; as well as activities and services for adults such as recreational activities like BINGO and Brain Games, health and nutritional courses, education courses, vocational training, financial literacy courses and social events like potlucks and movie nights, and so much more. The property is Avanti Valley View Apartments in Hidalgo. You will work hand in hand with our resident services manager to continuously craft our evolving program. We are committed in delivering the best communities possible for our residents and are looking for someone who is passionate about being of service to their community.
Must be available during the week one day, preferred hours are 3:30-8:30 pm with some flexibility, 10-15 total hours per week (5-6 hours spent at property plus admin time).
Home PC and/or access to email (Outlook), capability to do some very light printing if needed though typically we send orders to Office Depot, and vehicle, as there may be need to run small errands as part of position, i.e. picking up Office Depot orders, food for a potluck, etc. is preferred, as well as having a smartphone and being adept with current technology like apps.
Experience and interest in social work, education, working with youth, non-profit or related field preferred, volunteer experience will be considered. An interest in social work preferred.
Ideal candidate is enthusiastic self-starter with strong record of academic achievement, ability to work independently and within a collaborative team in fast paced, dynamic environment and again, is interested in social work or social services. Candidate will be able to multi-task and well organized with excellent, concise communication skills, dependable judgement, impeccable integrity, who is outgoing and interested in working to improve their community.
