AvantGarde, LLC (AG) seeks to engage a Senior Human Resources (HR) Classification Specialist provides advanced classification expertise to the AOC Human Capital Management Division to develop new and/or revise existing positions. This is position DOES REQUIRE one day on-site.
The WORK
- Provide classification services that include such activities as follows: Writes position descriptions and evaluation statements; Conducts trade studies, desk audits and paper reviews; Develops evaluations and reports; Provides guidance on position management and reorganizations.
- Classifies positions using the appropriate OPM standards and guidelines for General Service and Wage Grade positions including interdisciplinary, supervisory, non-supervisory and mixed series. Assigns the appropriate Fair Labor Standards Act designation for positions.
- Responds to Senate Office Buildings requests for information with guidance and education to customers on the classification and position management process.
- Coordinates position classification activities with Talent Acquisition and Payroll and Processing Branches and processes position data updates in preparation for National Finance Center processing.
- Leads position description review project and ensure adherence to OPM standards of practice.
