Avantech is looking for an experienced machinist to Expand our growing CNC Machinist team!
Shift Times: Monday-Friday 2PM-10PM; or Mon-Fri 6AM-2PM (Manager will determine shift upon hire)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the programming setup and operation of CNC machines. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for coming up with a processing plan, setting up simple to complex operations, and programming 2D and 3D operations. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Programming setup and operation of CNC machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges
- Adjust machine operator settings as needed to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Experience:
- Two-year degree in Machine Trades or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist preferred
- Experience setting up irregular parts in CNC mills will be a highlight in your application
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Experience with CAM software is preferred
- Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
- Familiarity with milling machines and power tools
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
