Derivatives Associate - Financial Law (Hybrid | NYC)

Avant Tech is seeking a Derivatives Associate for a prestigious AmLaw firm specializing in financial law and complex transactions. This is a high-visibility role for attorneys who thrive in structured finance, derivatives, and capital markets.

Location:
New York City, NY (Hybrid Schedule)

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate ISDA and related documentation for complex derivative transactions.
• Represent major financial institutions, hedge funds, and private equity clients.
• Manage client relationships and deliver strategic legal advice.
• Collaborate with partners on bespoke, high-value structured finance transactions.
• Stay current on regulatory developments impacting derivatives and structured products.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (T14 preferred).
• Active member of the New York Bar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in derivatives, structured finance, or related practice.
• Graduates 2020 - 2025
• Proven ability to handle complex deal documentation and client relationships.
• Law review, journal, or top-of-class academic standing strongly preferred.
• GPA 3.5 or higher.
