What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at Avant Search?
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead
- Analyze manufacturing variances and product margins
- Support month-end close, inventory valuation, WIP, and COGS
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory counts, and audits
- Maintain accurate cost reporting within the ERP system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- ERP experience required; Syteline preferred
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
Salary : $80,000 - $82,000
