What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at Avant Search?
Responsibilities
- Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead
- Perform cost variance analysis and support cost reduction efforts
- Support month-end close (inventory, WIP, cost entries)
- Analyze BOMs and routings within the ERP system
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and pricing analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience (aerospace preferred)
- Strong knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
Salary : $100,000 - $105,000
