Job Summary
The Director of Digital Solutions will lead enterprise-wide initiatives to drive customer experience improvements, prioritize technological development, and customer-centric transformation across the Avangrid’s Networks utility operating companies. This Director will focus on the execution and delivery of digital tools and platforms within the CX and Digital group, including Web/Portal/Mobile app development and UX design.
Key Responsibilities
Lead an organization of data scientists and data analysts in the development of robust models to evaluate and project trends and performance for key KPIs and metrics in customer service.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Lead an organization of data scientists and data analysts in the development of robust models to evaluate and project trends and performance for key KPIs and metrics in customer service.
- Coordinate the digital strategy definition within the CX and Digital group, leading the implementation and execution of digital tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with Application teams in the identification of demand for new Digital solutions. Project scope definition, plan and execution, assigning the different Digital resources required for the projects and leading the Digital projects implementation through the allocation of the required Agile/Scrum Management layer.
- Design, development and evolve/maintain of Digital solutions for AVANGRID, including but not limited to the following technologies: Digital Channels, Mobile Apps, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and new emerging technologies.
- Have responsibly for the development and delivery of digital solutions for internally and externally facing channels including all AVANGRID websites.
- Lead the development of Digital Operations capabilities and response, including communication and notification channels.
- Collaborate in the identification of new Digital Technologies that can be exploited for business advantage in conjunction with Architecture and Global Digital teams.
- Collaborate with Architecture team and Global Digital teams to establish the capabilities required to enable digital technology exploitation from Proof of Concept through to full scale production capability.
- AGILE implementation to enable rapid adoption of new technologies. Assignment of the required Agile/Scrum Management layer to the different Digital Projects.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Applications Teams and IOC in the technology solutions evaluation and solution Design for the application delivery.
- Collaborate with Architecture and IOC in the first implementations of new technologies, engaging with partners as required to ensure a right technology platform readiness.
- Collaboration in the Applications Development Frameworks definition, standard and Agile.
- Responsible for the Applications Lifecycle Management, including the implementation of AGILE methodology and the management of the Agile Coach and Scrum Masters that are required for the different Digital Projects execution.
- Provides linkage to executives for decision making outside of day-to-day program/project team activities.
- Travel approximately 20% to utility locations, partner meetings, and executive forums across Avangrid’s service territories.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software or digital development, including management experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong understanding of new digital technologies and capabilities required.
- Strong understanding of different architectures and technologies and best practices.
- Strong understanding of different software development methodologies and best practices.
- Strong vendor management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key customers of CX and Digital services.
- Strong business orientation and presentation skills.
- Prior management/supervisory/leadership experience.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, challenging and rigid deadlines and technologies.
- Able to work with management team counterparts to meet priorities and resolve issues.
