The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $80,00-$97,614
Job Summary
This position reports to the Gas Construction Supervisor in the Gas Projects department within Avangrid. This role is responsible for managing the full scope of various programs and projects on behalf of the company and affiliated/operating companies. Responsible for the timely completion of projects and programs within budget. Provides leadership, coordination, problem solving, planning, and status reports for projects, as well as being an active participant in day-to-day project activities requiring immediate decision-making. Ensures communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical expertise and leadership on various company projects and programs, which may include transmission and distribution major road jobs and betterment projects. Coordinates various work activities of project teams. Provides periodic status reports with respect to project/program progress (25%).
- Works with team to ensure programs/projects are completed on a timely basis, within budget, and consistent with corporate objectives. Monitors progress against the plans and budgets including periodic schedule and cost reporting reports (20%).
- Acts as liaison between cross-functional project teams, involving personnel from many areas in the Company. Holds regular project/program status meetings with project team. Ensures project team members accountable for results (25%).
- Leads team members on projects and programs to accomplish day-today goals and provides expertise and immediacy of decision-making. Secures necessary resources (internal and/or external) to complete the assigned project (20%).
- Administers bid contracts including preparation and assists in validating change orders when appropriate (10%)
- Education & Experience Required:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent & 3 years of experience
- Associates Degree with 5 years experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in field operations capital project work preferred.
- Knowledge of system design, construction, and maintenance standards and practices.
- Experience in leading teams and/or projects.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Effective negotiation skills.
