Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Failure Analysis Engineer for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients, based in Santa Clara, CA (Onsite).
Role: Failure Analysis Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Engineer with strong debugging and failure analysis experience to work on server and GPU systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform failure analysis on returned server/GPU boards
- Debug issues down to component level (ICs, capacitors, resistors, etc.)
- Conduct system and board-level testing and validation
- Analyze schematics and block diagrams
- Inspect and troubleshoot components such as CPU, GPU, DIMM, NIC, SSD, and power supply
- Perform root cause analysis using component swapping and isolation techniques
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hardware debugging and failure analysis experience
- Experience with server/system design and testing
- Ability to read schematics and block diagrams
- Basic knowledge of Linux (must-have)
Good to Have:
- Basic Python scripting
- Bash scripting
- Experience with BIOS, BMC, CPLD, FPGA
Experience:
- 5–10 years in hardware engineering or failure analysis
Skill Mix:
