TEAM MEMBER RELATIONS SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for ensuring the organization's team member and labor relations programs, policies, and procedures are consistently applied as they relate to team member and labor relations. Advocates for Team Members, Leaders and the company as a whole; handles Team Member concerns professionally and personally; analyzes metric reports and data to provide recommendations; and works closely with leadership to guide them through complex human resources situations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Partner with plant leadership team to create and deliver proactive team member relations strategies.
- Monitor day to day implementation of and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee investigations for grievances and team member disciplinary issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Inform management of pertinent work force issues and concerns.
- Work cross-functionally to provide support, advice, and counsel as necessary regarding work-related issues, conflicts, and discipline policy and procedures questions, and contract interpretation.
- Assess issues focusing on solutions to meet Team Member and business needs.
- Assist in the preparation of arbitration, mediations, hearings, and any related Team Member relations activities.
- Assist with the preparation and negotiations of labor agreements.
- Assist plant HR and management with progressive discipline and terminations; make recommendations to avoid violations of employment law, company policies, and company culture.
- Act as an objective, neutral advocate who seeks to understand, investigate and make unbiased recommendations for all sides : the company, Team Members and Leaders.
- Champion for continuous improvement initiatives.
- All other duties as assigned.
