s• Knowledge about market operating price for various manufacturing commodit
y• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skill
s• Good understanding of cost drivers & process drivers of a given commodity parts/sub assemblie
s• Negotiate cost down, Trade working capital improvements with supplier
s• Min. 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role and Strategy developmen
t• Capability to interface with senior leadership across regions both internally & externall
y• In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practice
s• Strong costing and analytical skill
s• Working knowledge of the industry and market condition
s• Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation technique
s• Good experience working in the procurement department in a related fiel
d• Act as a point of contact between the company and supplier
s• Work closely with Procurement, Engineering and Plant buyers to enable supplier provided savings opportunitie
s• Report out various saving opportunities provided by suppliers to senior managemen
t• Strong MS Office skills and PDM/PLM tool
s• Program governance and Dashboarding for Senior leadershi
p• Willingness to travel to customer/supplier sites on need basis
