Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in MQTT, HiveMQ, TCP/IP networking, IoT, and OPC UA to support industrial IoT infrastructure and edge-to-cloud connectivity.
The ideal candidate will have experience deploying and managing MQTT brokers, troubleshooting network connectivity, integrating industrial systems, and supporting reliable, secure, production-grade IoT platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with HiveMQ MQTT Broker, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of MQTT protocols, including topics, publishers/subscribers, QoS, broker architecture, authentication, authorization, and TLS security.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, ports, firewalls, DNS, certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with IoT/IIoT platforms and edge-to-cloud communication.
- Knowledge of OPC UA and industrial OT/IT integration.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD pipeline experience using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure automation using Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, security, and high availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with HighByte Intelligence Hub.
- Experience integrating PLC, SCADA, MES, and historian systems.
- Knowledge of Azure IoT Hub and Azure Event Hubs.
- Experience with MQTT clustering, performance tuning, and production support.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols and secure IoT data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot HiveMQ MQTT broker environments.
- Support MQTT-based communication between industrial devices, edge systems, and cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, networking, certificates, authentication, and data connectivity issues.
- Integrate industrial systems using MQTT, OPC UA, REST APIs, and related protocols.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, security, scalability, and high availability for IoT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable OT/IT and edge-to-cloud integration.
Preferred Candidate Profile: Candidates with direct, hands-on HiveMQ experience combined with MQTT, TCP/IP, OPC UA, and DevOps expertise will be prioritized.
