Job Duties/Requirements:
- Perform respiratory care in accordance with generally accepted, evidence-based practices.
- Set up respiratory equipment and provide clear instructions for patient/youth use following established policies and procedures.
- Conduct complete medical evaluations during scheduled clinic hours or upon consult request by the CEO/CME or designee, and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Maintain all charting on a daily basis; no chart may remain delinquent for more than 10 days as this may result in termination.
- Assist in the development, review, and updating of respiratory therapy policies and procedures.
- Periodically assess equipment needs and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
- Submit required materials for Institution in-service training—including Curriculum Vitae (CV), course outline, objectives, and post-tests—at least one week prior to the scheduled course.
- Complete special respiratory care assignments as requested by the CEO/CME or designee (e.g., quality improvement projects, utilization review, and other related initiatives).
