About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized plaintiffs' trial firm is adding a litigator to its Knoxville team. You'll represent people hurt in car and commercial truck crashes across East Tennessee, carrying cases from the complaint through trial. The firm brings the case flow, the budget for experts, and the support staff, so your time goes into building cases and trying them.
What You'll Do
- Manage your own docket of litigated motor vehicle and trucking cases
- Prepare and file complaints, written discovery and responses, demand packages, motions, and briefs
- Be the steady point of contact for clients from filing to resolution
- Retain and work closely with experts, from strategy calls to reports and affidavits
- Take and defend depositions, and handle mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Prepare cases for trial and try them
What You Bring
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Tennessee law license in good standing
- Ideally 2 years of personal injury litigation, plaintiff or defense side
- Comfort running a full, fast-moving litigation docket
- Sharp writing and confident oral advocacy
- Strong client communication skills
- Self-direction and a long-term view of your career
