Job Description:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals recover from substance abuse and addiction. This job would require you to work night shifts from 7pm-7am, two 12 hour shifts a week.Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation- Assess patient's physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies- Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal process- Monitor and manage patient's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentationQualifications:- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas- Previous experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or substance abuse treatment is preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism- Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferredWhy Join Us?At Avalon Wellness and Recovery Center, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
