Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, establishing a positive first impression and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, balancing client needs with veterinarian availability
- Ensure all billing and payment processes are transparent and professional
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic analysis to support diagnostic efforts
- Support kennel operations by coordinating pet boarding, feeding, grooming, and ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay
- Perform duties such as cleaning cages, feeding, watering, and monitoring overall pet health in accordance with aseptic techniques
- Assist veterinary staff with critical care procedures like animal catheterization or administering medications under supervision when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area while adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary reception or customer service within an animal care setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and pet care best practices
- Hands-on experience with dog/cat handling
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary diagnostics is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and medical collection processes
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds
