Youth Minister
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Minister to join our team and develop and lead a well-balanced program for youth that focuses on discipleship, spiritual growth, and outreach. The ideal candidate will have a heart for winning the lost to Christ, helping young Christians mature in their faith, and guiding them to discover their God-given gifts and abilities.
Ministry to Youth:
Develop, promote, and coordinate activities and discipleship programs for youth.
Train and involve youth and youth leaders in outreach programs to reach unchurched youth.
Plan yearly youth emphasis events (e.g., Youth Week, Youth Revivals) to engage youth in church leadership. Involve youth in ministry and mission projects.
Provide counseling and support to youth, including in their school settings.
Be available to parents to discuss issues related to their child or youth ministry.
Enlist a balanced team of male and female youth workers in collaboration with the Nominating Committee. Lead regular leadership meetings with youth leaders.
Provide training opportunities for youth leaders within the church.
Serve as a member of the Church Council. Prepare and submit a yearly budget for youth ministry to the Finance Committee. Assist the pastor in various duties, including filling the pulpit, conducting funerals, and hospital visitations, as needed. Support the children’s ministry as time permits. Perform other duties as assigned by the pastor.
A strong commitment to Christ and a passion for youth ministry. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with youth, parents, and church leadership.
Experience in planning and executing youth programs and events is preferred.
Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
