Avalon Medical Center is seeking a full time Physical Therapist to join their growing team. Position: Physical Therapist
Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited college program in Physical Therapy with a BS, MS or DPT in Physical Therapy. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Experience: Entry Level. 1-2 years experience preferred.
Licensure, Registration or Certification: NYS licensure or eligible. BLS required through the American Heart Association.
Duties:
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
