What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant - Per Diem position at AVALON MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION?
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty, assist patients in meeting self-care and daily needs.
Essential Functions
- Assists patients with feeding, walking, transferring and personal hygiene.
- Performs procedures such as dispensing/retrieving bedpans, using skin care products.
- Reports observations and outcomes of activities performed to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility and positioning of residents.
- Following care plans and ensuring residents' comfort and safety.
- Records and reports vital signs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to deal with a variety of patients, staff, health care providers, and community representatives.
- Knowledge of standard practices, rules and regulations related to licensed practical nursing.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others. Be flexible and demonstrate teamwork.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Education/Experience
- Three to Six months experience in SNF setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification in the state of California
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and health clearance which includes a physical exam, TB testing, and immunization review.
