Avalon Building Systems, a leader in modular homes throughout New England, is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager/Site Superintendent to oversee our projects in the area. This position is full-time and will work directly with our Construction Manager.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will overseeing various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project stakeholders, assist in managing project schedules, and utilize construction management software to track progress and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules using Builder Trend
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Manage project coordination efforts across various teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain effective time management practices to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Provide support on-site during construction phases to ensure adherence to plans and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with senior project managers to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Experience
- 5 years of proven experience in construction, construction management or a related field.
- Experience with modular construction is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction management software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project scheduling techniques.
- Previous experience in ensuring safety on construction sites.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
