Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Scientist to join our growing team. This role will focus on enhancing the PhysicianGPS platform through advanced analytics and machine learning, while also supporting pre-sales efforts and addressing technical questions from clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data, experience with claims and provider analytics, and the ability to communicate technical insights effectively to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the PhysicianGPS platform by developing and refining machine learning models and algorithms to improve physician ranking and impact analysis.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into the platform.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and data-driven insights to prospective clients.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide clear explanations of data methodologies, model outputs, and platform capabilities.
- Analyze healthcare claims, provider performance, and patient outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key metrics and findings.
- Stay current with industry trends, healthcare analytics tools, and regulatory changes.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience in healthcare data analytics or data science.
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims data, provider networks, and value-based care models.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow).
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
