Certified Medication Technician (CMT) – Weekend Community Support
Location: Waldorf, MD
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
We are seeking a dependable, patient, and energetic female Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide weekend support to a 24-year-old young woman with autism in the Waldorf, MD area.
This position is ideal for a caregiver who enjoys helping individuals become more active in their community and is comfortable providing supervision, redirection, and support with daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
Accompany client on community outings, including local stores and recreational activities
Provide companionship and encourage positive community engagement
Supervise and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing
Maintain close supervision due to elopement risk
Provide calm and consistent redirection when needed
Support appropriate communication and decision-making
Maintain client safety while in the home and community
Redirect frequent non-emergency 911 calling behaviors
Communicate important updates to the family/care team
About the Client:
24-year-old woman
Verbal
Diagnosed with autism and requires a high level of supervision
Enjoys community outings and visiting local stores
Requires support with personal care and safety awareness
Requirements:
Active Maryland CMT certification
Experience working with individuals with autism strongly preferred
Experience supporting individuals with elopement behaviors preferred
Patient, attentive, and comfortable providing consistent supervision
Reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable assisting with personal care/ADLs
Schedule:
Saturday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour
