About us:
Avail Solutions was founded in 1999 and is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis hotline with two locations in Texas (Tyler and Corpus Christi). We contract with community agencies to provide professional, quality mental health services to callers in need of crisis support, mental health or substance use intake services, or emergency outreach screenings.
Job Summary:
The Training Manager is responsible for supervising the Training Instructors and the development and growth of the crisis training programs.
- Assists in the interviewing of applicants for crisis worker positions.
- Establishes training schedules based on the call center’s staffing requirements.
- Provides new employee training in conjunction with the Training Instructors and Crisis Supervisors.
- Reviews trainees’ Call Performance Evaluations.
- Monitors training files for new employees and provides progress updates.
- Reviews trainees' feedback for training program improvement.
- Identifies new training needs and leads the development and integration of relevant training content into the curriculum.
- Utilizes findings from internal/external QA audits to identify ongoing training needs and develops and implements effective learning solutions to address these needs.
- Conducts training instructor evaluations.
- Assists in conducting Quality Assurance (QA) to evaluate staff’s performance.
- Reviews and assists with monthly continued education for staff.
- Answers crisis calls as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in the behavioral health field (i.e. social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human services, etc.)
- Must have at least one year of management or training experience in behavioral health.
- Computer literate with typing skills beyond 40 wpm with 90% accuracy.
- A valid state issued driver’s license or ID; must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass the QMHP and 988 crisis training programs.
- Ability to work with Excel, Microsoft Word and other programs as needed.
- Ability to adapt and integrate large amounts of information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay of $25.00/hr; $30.00/hr after successful completion of training programs and promotion to Training Manager
- Differential pay of an additional $1.00/hr for hours worked between 4PM-12AM and $2.00/hr for hours worked between 12AM-8AM

Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with the availability to work alternate shifts when needed
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
