As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and aligning parts per blueprint in preparation for punching operations and performing the punching process. The position involves setting up and operating machine tools to cut, shape, or form metal to specifications.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in operating press brake machines and performing related tasks.
- Experience in calculating notching requirements, material gain, and understanding of bending techniques.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in programming dimensions and adjusting settings on press brake machines.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and machine maintenance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and make decisions based on standard procedures.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Customer Focus: A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion of tasks.
- Set up and align parts according to blueprints for punching operations.
- Program dimensions and adjust settings on the press brake machine.
- Feed metal into the machine and bend pieces as per instructions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform bend tests on non-standard materials.
- Write size and I.D. on pieces and stage related pieces together.
- Maintain housekeeping duties to keep the work area clear of scrap and debris.
- Ensure machines are in good working order, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Give direction to helpers as needed to accomplish tasks efficiently.
