Reporting to the Senior Director, SEC Reporting, the SEC Financial Reporting Manager is a key member of the Corporate Finance function responsible for the preparation, review, and coordination of the Company’s external financial reporting. This role leads the preparation of Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K and other SEC filings, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, and drives accuracy and consistency in external disclosures. The SEC Financial Reporting Manager will collaborate closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and business segment finance teams to deliver timely, high-quality financial reports and narratives that support investor confidence and executive decision-making.

The Salary Range For This Role Is
$111,000 - $169,250

The SEC Financial Reporting Manager will collaborate closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and business segment finance teams to deliver timely, high-quality financial reports and narratives that support investor confidence and executive decision-making.
Primary Success Factors
- Accuracy: Filings are free of material errors; consistent adherence to U.S. GAAP, SEC, SOX, and internal control requirements.
- Timeliness: On-time completion and filing of all SEC reports and related disclosures.
- Quality: Clear, concise, and decision‑useful financial disclosures.
- Control Environment: Execution of controls within the SEC reporting process.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, and external and internal auditor.
- Process Improvement: Implementation of process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and strengthen reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate the quarterly and annual SEC filings.
- Own the consolidation of financial information and supporting schedules required for SEC reporting.
- Prepare and review tie‑outs, disclosure checklists, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and implement new U.S. GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements impacting external reporting; update accounting and disclosure policies as needed.
- Support the preparation of materials for earnings releases, investor presentations, and board reporting in partnership with Investor Relations and Finance leadership.
- Research and document technical accounting matters.
- Operate and document internal controls execution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce close and reporting cycle times while maintaining or enhancing quality and control.
- Partner with IT, Accounting, and FP&A to optimize the use of ERP and consolidation/reporting tools (e.g., Oracle EBS / Fusion, Oracle EPM or similar) to support external reporting needs.
- Standardize templates and workflows that support consistent, scalable reporting processes.
- CPA
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance experience, including SEC reporting (Big 4 / public company experience strongly preferred).
- Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10‑K and 10‑Q.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Experience with internal controls over financial reporting (SOX).
- Experience with Oracle Fusion and ERP reporting tools and excel skills.
- Prior experience in Aerospace & Defense or Technology industry preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally
- Ability to work in an office environment (Constant)
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
