AV has an opportunity for a motivated Engineering student to join a small multi-disciplined team supporting research and development activities for the Air Force Research Laboratory. Candidate will apply engineering expertise and innovative problem solving to support laboratory and field testing in support of the USAF and USSF.

Primary Responsibilities For This Role Will Include
- Provide direct engineering support
- Learn and apply hands-on engineering techniques in direct support of research activities
- 3D modeling and design
- Work directly with machinists in the fabrication of custom components and assemblies
- Assist in lab and field test projects
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program in pursuit of a BS or higher in Engineering
- Competence in 3D cad software
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Ability to apply academics to real-world problems
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Self-directed worker willing to adapt to unique challenges and take ownership of projects
- Strong attention to detail with careful and diligent work ethic resulting in high-quality results
- Due to security requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate may be asked to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance or higher
- Understanding of engineering techniques across multiple disciplines
