About the Position
AV Veterinary Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and positive Doctor’s Assistant to support our veterinarians and help keep the clinic running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask effectively, and knows how to prioritize.
As a Doctor’s Assistant, you’ll be a critical part of our team, ensuring that both patients and clients have a seamless experience while providing excellent support to our doctors.
What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians with doctor’s notes, call-backs, and estimates
- Perform Veterinary Assistant tasks including patient restraint, lab work, and basic treatments
- Manage patient holds and follow-ups efficiently
- Update and maintain the whiteboard, including meds, vital checks, and patient status
- Prioritize tasks throughout a busy day while maintaining accuracy
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Support the overall flow of the clinic and help maintain a positive environment
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable, organized, and able to multitask effectively
- Strong judgment and prioritization skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable with client communication and patient care tasks
- Cornerstone software knowledge preferred
- Prior experience in a veterinary or medical office is preferred, but a can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential
